Visiting frequency:

Remand Basic:	2x 1 hour or 1x 2 hour visits per week

Convicted Basic:	2 visits per month
Convicted Standard:	2 visits plus 1 privilege visit per month
Convicted Enhanced:	2 visits plus 2 privilege visits per month

The prison has no parking facilities for visitors therefore all visitors should use the municipal car parks.

HMP / YOI Exeter Visitor Centre

Enhanced Visits

These visits are designed for families to spend quality time together. They take place once a month for prisoners who are on Enhanced regime. Prisoners do not have to have children to attend. These visits are run by Choices Consultancy Service. The duration of the visit runs between 11:00 to 15:00 are by application and subject to security approval.

Child Centred Family Visits

These take place once every school holiday, and are aimed at helping prisoners engage with their children. These visits are run by Choices Consultancy Service, with multi agency involvement. Parent and child activities are organised for the duration of these visits. These are available to prisoners on Standard and Enhanced regime, are by application and subject to security approval.
